When you first see the Cross-T-Squared, it appears to be a very simple tool.
But for all of the Cross-T-Squared features, a lot of research and testing was involved before we got the design absolutely right. Actually, there is almost a year of planning, testing, and tweaking involved, to get it to this final version.
Designing simplicity can be hard work!
Luckily, I had no problem finding places for the actual field testing, that was probably the easiest part of all. Five days a week, the Cross-T-Squared was tested, analyzed, and improvements made.
So, check out all of the Cross-T-Squared features, and you'll see what the buzz is about too.

Every edge is rounded, to eliminate any scratching of the grid. It doesn't make much sense to save time cutting in the grid, just to turn around and waste material by damaging it. The rounded edges also keep you from breaking your cut-in line. |

The magnets are slightly recessed into the tool, so they never make contact with the grid surface. The magnets are pressed in after the anodizing process has been completed. Here you can also see more of those rounded edges we mentioned above. |

15/16" slots on one side, 9/16" on the other side. This means that one tool will work for Donn, Armstrong, Chicago Metallic, or any other 15/16" or 9/16" faced grid systems that meet ASTM-C635, you or your installers are good to go on every job. |

Dual magnet design works horizontally or vertically. This allows you to use the Cross-T-Squared for building soffits as well. Top down or bottom up, its not a problem. The two magnet design holds firmly enough to use hands-free, but is still easy to remove when you're done. |

Also works on those angled or sloped soffits. We don't have to build them very often, but the Cross-T-Squared will work on those sloped soffits as well. And the two magnet design eliminates any sliding issues. |

Fits easily into your tool belt. Weighing in at a sleek 7.5 ounces, you won't even notice the Cross-T-Squared has been added to your belt. And no moving parts means it never wears out, or needs replacement. |
